Water Ways is an exhibit created by the Smithsonian Institute. It is a traveling exhibit and is currently on display at the Historic Westminster Train Depot in Westminster, SC. This is its only Upstate SC stop. If you have ever wondered what you may see at the Smithsonian, this is a chance to see it, in Westminster, SC.

The exhibit has a number of pictures, short stories, cultural artifacts and interactive components arranged to educate and inspire thought about water and our use of water.  Walking through the exhibit is an opportunity for you to experience through provoking ideas about water.

As an educational tool, and possibly a family building tool, this exhibit offers much to inform school-aged children and young adults about the importance of water in their lives. For those in college, it’s a chance to enhance understanding and have fun. For adults, an opportunity to be inspired and contemplate a resource that is critical to our everyday life.

Come to Westminster Historic Depot on Main Street. It’s free. Its COVID sensitive. Its open from 8-5 Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays – we’ll open it every chance we get so check our website if you’re thinking about it.

The South Carolina Humanities through a grant from Dominion Energy made this possible.
