The City of Westminster’s Sanitation department provides several services directly to the community.
- Solid Waste Collection – Westminster uses an automated collection system for weekly garbage and yard trash collection.
- Facility Maintenance – The Sanitation Department maintains city buildings and facilities to best serve the city.
- Infrastructure Repair – Some of the streets and sidewalks in Westminster are owned and maintained by the City of Westminster and some by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT). The Sanitation Department repairs potholes, cleans catch basins, and performs numerous other tasks to facilitate the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic on city-owned streets. SCDOT repairs the potholes on the SCDOT-owned streets.
