The Recreation Department serves Westminster and adjacent communities. We offer several seasonal sports for all ages that enrich the quality of life of our local citizens. Our staff make the Westminster Recreation Program safe, fun, and competitive for the entire community.

We are in the process of starting a three-phase project to a brand new community park featuring new fields, parking, nature trails, indoor and outdoor recreation space, and plenty of parking. We need your support to bring this to life!

Recreation Registration

Be sure to register your children to get involved with Westminster Recreation. All registration dates are approximate and subject to change and can be found below under each sport, along with the registration link. Each sport has a “home” facility but athletes will have to travel to play away games. Fees are correct as of July 1, 2025. All participants must complete the Parental Authorization Form and Register for each sport.

T-Ball

Season: March – May
Ages: 4-6 year olds (as of May 1)
Registration Deadline: February 13, 2026
Facility: Hall Street Field, Pool Field, Yousef Mefleh Memorial Fields, Owen Stadium
Cost: $45 for residents; $70 for non-resident

Recreation Sponsorship

Our Recreation Department is always looking for sponsors to support teams throughout the year. Our events are attended by hundreds of youth and their families from all over Oconee County. We try to keep sponsorship rates affordable compared to other forms of advertising. With a limited number of teams, these sponsorships are first come, first served.

Cost is $300 ($400 for football) and includes your business name on the team jerseys

Sponsor Banners are available for $250 ($200 to reuse a previous year’s banner) and will hang in the gym.

Oconee Machine and Tool has sponsored teams with the Westminster Recreation Department for over 30 years. The return on this investment in the community has not only benefited young people in our county, but also children of our Oconee Machine family. We believe a strong recreational program not only prepares them for more competitive athletics as they grow, but also emphasizes growth as a person.
