Statement from Westminster Police Department Regarding June 2, 2025 Traffic Accident
WESTMINSTER, SC – Westminster Police Department officers responded to the Toccoa Highway area at approximately 3:46 p.m. after receiving a report from Oconee County Communication that the Stephens County (GA) Sheriff’s Office was involved in a pursuit of a motorcycle entering the city limits. While city officers were present in the area, they did not engage in the pursuit. The pursuit, which originated with the Stephens County (GA) Sheriff’s Office, entered the city limits and received assistance from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. The male driver of the motorcycle lost control while attempting to turn onto Westminster Highway, resulting in an accident.
