A pill take-back program with secure collection sites
-
Distribution of Naloxone (Narcan) to at-risk populations
-
Partnerships with local treatment facilities and agencies
-
Equipment to reach hard-to-access areas during overdose responses
“This grant allows us to address the opioid epidemic with compassion and community engagement,” said Police Chief Fred Miller. “By expanding prevention, recovery, and outreach efforts, we can make a lasting impact on the health and safety of our residents.”
The grant will provide for a new police vehicle, an ATV, controlled substance collections stations, and educational material.
The Westminster Police Department remains committed to building a safer, healthier community through education, partnerships, and dedicated resources for those affected by opioid misuse.
